How does it work?
BioCote technology, in the form of silver ions in a carrier polymer, is infused throughout the bowl during moulding. Ions are present on the surface of the bowl and are available to act against contaminating bacteria by binding to and damaging their cell walls.
Is this technology safe?
Yes, silver is a safe, natural antimicrobial. Silver ions are present at the bowl’s surface until absorbed by bacteria; it will not leach from the surface, even if scratched or chewed.
