Coat of Armor: Protecting Your Pets from Fleas & Ticks

I don't know about you, but I'm extremely excited for the warm weather, and I think my three pups are stoked as well. We can finally go on long walks without having to worry about frostbite! The one downside about the warmer weather, however, is bugs. As flea and tick season approaches, I thought I'd share some preventative tips to keep your four-legged kids safe from pests!

Aromatherapy & Essential Oils

Essential oils are a great, natural way to keep pests at bay! Not only do they have pest-repellent properties, but they also smell amazing! Here at Paw Naturals, we offer a wide range of Phoebe's Aromatherapy essential oil products, that are locally made in Chicago. IMPORTANT NOTE: You should avoid using essential oil products on your feline friends, as they are extremely sensitive to them.

Lavender: Works to deter ticks and prevent their eggs from hatching, as well as to repel fleas. Use it in a spray, in soaps, or even in candles in order to help protect from pests this flea and tick season!

  • Phoebe's Aromatherapy: Lavender, Chamomile & Vanilla aromatherapy products

Lemongrass: Even a tiny amount of Lemongrass essential oil can help to repel fleas and ticks!

  • Phoebe's Aromatherapy: Lemongrass, Sage & Sea Salt aromatherapy products

Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus essential oil works to deter pests - especially flying insects like mosquitoes.

  • Phoebe's Aromatherapy: Eucalyptus, Mint & Cucumber aromatherapy products

Natural Flea & Tick Pet Products

At Paw Naturals we also carry a variety of different natural pest repellent products from brands that we trust - ones that we use on our own pets.
